SCUBA Diving Equipment-Trends and Innovation

We are seeing a huge amount of scuba diving clubs and training schools opening up everywhere - even in the northerly states. S.C.U.B.A, an acronym that stands for 'Self Contained Underwater breathing Apparatus', allows a scuba diver to enjoy sustained visits to the wonderful and unique areas of our oceans, lakes, and streams. And, scuba diving has come a long way, so having the right scuba gear can make all the difference!

The one thing that even comes close to the experience of scuba diving is snorkeling - but snorkeling is mostly enjoyed from the pinnacle of the water looking down. Although scuba diving is most often considered a sport, there are some other crucial jobs, vocations, and careers which involve scuba diving and where the quality scuba diving equipment is needed . Scuba diving plays a vital role in such occupations as forensics, underwater construction, and underwater salvage - to cite a couple of the big players.

Scuba diving gear has come a great distance since the beginning of this activity. Exciting television programs like Jacques Cousteau and his underwater work, and the series 'Sea Hunt' starring Lloyd Bridges (an action flick, fictional show from the 60's ), have played a serious part in bringing scuba diving to the eye of the public. It was a mystery to us then, but now, everyone wants to do some weekend scuba diving. If you find that you truly enjoy the sport, go on and purchase the scuba diving gear you need. Basic equipment includes a mask, 'flippers' for your feet, a dive watch or even better, a dive computer, tanks, and a regulator. You will need to wear a wetsuit, and a quality one at that! p_regulators_octoswivmag_inuse1

Filling your air tanks can be done regionally, or you might want to get your own compressor to do it yourself. You cannot take your tanks to the closest gas station and fill them up with air from the vehicle tire air hose! Oil and all sorts of other impurities must be filtered out before the air is thought to be of an adequate quality level to breathe. And remember, you are BREATHING this air!

Once you are underwater, everything above the water and on land is left behind. Forget your worries, and join the quiet world of the sea. You have before you an alien sector of sea creatures, fish, and – the best part, the unknown. It's the 'unknown' that might keep some of those who aspire to dive out of the scuba diving environment, but it's that same 'unknown' that draws many into the sport! Stories of treasure chests, and sunken ships of old, and great sea monsters lure many to the sea -- and this can also keep others away! Irrespective of your reason, scuba diving is like nothing else you can ever do on this planet. Each spot you hover over is usually untouched by other humans. You truly 'Go where no person has gone before!' My advice? Just do it! Take the challenge and experience it for yourself. You have a great adventure to gain - and maybe a vast fortune!

Beware Buying a Scuba Mask Until You Read This!

While diving, you clear your mask or you are screwed. You need to secure the mask at your forehead and exhale from your nose to clear the mask.

Because you want to clear the mask with your exhaled breath the volume of air between the mask and your face is crucial.

The more air the harder it will be to clear. We are pleased with the Tilos Excel Scuba Mask, and the Oceanic Shadow Mask.

A SCUBA mask will also need a soft area around the nose so you can pinch your nose to equalize the air space in you ears. Most masks come with either a clear silicone skirt or a black skirt. The same chemical process happens to the black skirt but you cannot see it. The selection of black or clear skirt can depend on which side of the camera you are on.

If you are taking photos or video the black skirt will reduce glare and make it simpler to see the things in the view finder. A clear skirt will be better if someone is a bit claustrophobic because it will permit more light around your eyes.

There a many styles of masks. A dual-lens mask has two lenses and generally dual-lens masks are lower volume than single-lens masks of relative equal size.

M150 A breathtaking view mask with twin lenses will be rather smaller volume. Typically the more glass you've got the more you can see. With the panoramic you are not looking out the side window but you'll see movement and be ready to turn to the movement.

These masks are the super premium of the group as they leave unfettered your range of vision. The two we most suggest are the Tilos Excel Scuba Mask and Oceanic Shadow Mask.

Quoting Scuba Diving Magazine: The Tilos Excel was the massive surprise of this review. It had one of the widest fields of view and a budget-friendly price . With a wide bottom and teardrop shapes below the eyes, the lens favors downward viewing, superb for finding belts and buckles on a BC. It all adds up to a combined vertical range of 75 degrees, the same vertical field of view as the two Atomic masks in this review. Bonus : The upper and lower corners of the mask have a tread-like texture that helps wet hands grip the mask when donning and doffing.

For experienced divers who dive in really cold water or the public safety divers who desires to speak underwater there are full face masks. When deciding how to choose a scuba mask you should consider fit, skirt - clear or black, volume of air behind the mask, range of vision, and of course color.

At K2 Scuba we strongly suggest you try on masks at a retailer tha will take some time, in the flesh or by phone to fit the mask to you. It is by a long way the most critical criteria for choosing a mask. A poorly fitting mask will flood and raise nervousness in your diving experience. Your mask is an integral part of your scuba diving equipment, and as such care must be taken in the selection. . .like all of your scuba gear.

Occasionally you can even be a little confused what to pick. It is sort of accepted that a massive quantity of provided diving plant makes the choice comparatively tough notwithstanding of this you need to select scuba diving equipment which will be fantastic for you.

In reality, the dimensions of your scuba diving equipment financial plan, and the undeniable fact that you can spend a bucketload of money doesn't matter if you choose the inaccurate plant for your local environmental conditions.
